How
it all started...
I
met Jun over 20
years ago. I moved
to Korea with
my parents from
New York in the
4th grade and
moved into a new
obscure neighborhood.
Of course I had
no idea how to
speak Korean at
the time. One
day I decided
to go out and
make some friends
so I filled up
my watergun and
decided take down
some unlucky kid.
Well.. Jun was
standing near
a phone booth
and became my
unlucky victim.
Had I known that
he could kick
my rear, I wouldn't
have chosen him.
However, I was
a quick thinker
and ran back home
with Jun on my
tail. My mother
kindly told Jun
that I couldn't
speak a word of
Korean and that
I just needed
a friend. Jun
was a good kid...
he became an older
brother to me
and took care
of me during those
dark days when
I couldn't speak
Korean. We both
started bands
in highschool
during our rebellious
stages. Jun became
a professional
musician while
I came back to
the states to
go to college.
After graduating
college and moving
through the corporate
ladder, I started
to think that
being a 'suit'
was pretty boring
and started to
think what I really
wanted to do.
I knew I wanted
to get back into
the wonderful
world of music.
Jun had already
started a retail
outlet in Korea
at this point.
Great things happen
with alcohol...
One night we started
talking about
the Korean music
industry and had
a very long needed
talk on what we
could do for our
friends in Korea...
Seven
years later, I'm
proud to say that
we're doing some
cool stuff and
making waves in
the Korean music
business.
